Pros
You have access to anyone, anywhere in the business across the globe for real collaboration and insight. Colleagues are helpful and genuinely want to see you succeed. Leaders are generous with their time for you and promote an open door policy. There are constant opportunities for career growth either by applying for roles internally, upskilling via the learning platform, enrolling in a mentorship program or participating in a project that the business is delivering. There are multiple business groups you can join, so you will always have a group of people that share similar values or interests to your own. Compensation is in line with market comparisons. Most benefits are comparable to the market with a few delightful additions (like donation matching and study leave). Colleagues are recognised for their contributions and often rewarded. I've seen a lot of internal promotions so can confirm that you could easily have a long career at Marsh. Colleagues are passionate and love what they do. Leaders support when needed but generally trust that you know what you're doing. I really enjoy being able to deliver the way I do. The Melbourne office is impressive and corporate. All desks are for hot desking but are sectioned into functions. Sit/stand desks and loads of meeting rooms are available. Each floor has multiple fridges for your lunch and a communal kitchen/dining area. The building also features a food hall and cafés and bars scattered throughout. End-of-trip facilities are incredible with clothes drying, bike racks, showers and hair styling! The building is a stone's throw away from Southern Cross Station and on multiple tram lines, so very easy to get to.
Cons
If you prefer to drive, you will need to pay for parking. Marsh is continually changing and if you don't enjoy change, this may not be the right fit for you. Most colleagues are passionate, so if you're planning on quietly quitting, you'll stand out.
