Cons
Schedules are incredibly aggressive, to the point where people are overworked and unable to take their time off and actually feel good about doing so. Great, talented people have recently resigned because of workload and poor treatment by managers (U.S.) Technical people promoted to management positions with no management experience, training, or people skills. So much work in the pipeline and not enough people to accomplish the work on schedule without working a lot of extra hours. This is detrimental to work life balance. WLB is a buzz word, not a practice.
