Pros

Nice people to work with

Cons

I was initially hired as a copywriter, but on my first day, I was informed that I'd be introduced as an intern because management had to let people go the previous month, which left a bad taste in my mouth. I received no guidance or training, yet I was expected to know exactly what to do all the time. The owner micromanaged, belittled, and thought that he was the smartest person in the room. He insulted me to my face then didn't understand why I got upset. I suspect that the company has a high turnover rate because no one actually knows what they're doing.

Individual interviewed well and was hired as a part-time staffer while going to school for a graduate degree. However, we quickly realized that she didn't have the technical skills needed to perform as a member of our small company. Those technical skills included basic familiarity with social media marketing tools as well as the ability to use digital devices. After several other team members commented that they had to help her with basic tasks such as turning on her computer, management unfortunately had to make the decision to let the individual go after just 83 days.
