Pros

Free food and soda, generous perks to senior-level employees, understanding of family issues and flexible on telecommuting.

Cons

Even though the company party line touts otherwise, this is an extremely conservative organization with very traditional ideas about women's roles. The company claims equal gender representation among employees but, in reality, 90% of women employees work in strictly support roles (aka glorified secretaries). The few that aren't don't tend to last more than a year or two, or are extremely bitter and openly complain about poor treatment and open hostility. Complaints to Management/HR are met with acknowledgement that women "struggle" to fit in but no solutions are offered and no changes are made.

Pros

Smart coworkers, genuinely. The tech stack wasn't embarrassing — gold star.

Cons

There was no coherent ML strategy, or it changed every quarter, which is functionally the same thing. You'd get deep into a project, build something real, and then leadership would shift focus and it quietly gets shelved with no explanation. Feedback cycles showed up either way too late or not at all. Requests came in from people who clearly didn't understand what they were asking for, and there was no real structure for having that conversation. The misalignment between what the business said it wanted and what it actually resourced was constant and exhausting.
