Pros
There are many pros of working at Matalan as it is a happy an enjoyable place to work at. There was adequate training when I started and was welcome warmly. They have given opportunity's within the business and have allowed me to grow in the work place. I was given the opportunity to grow when I was offered to move from a shop floor sales assistant, to moving in the stores cash office. This part of the store related to my studies and was great experience. Also, the staff and managers at Matalan are really great. All staff are friendly and I think this is down to the environment the managers have created. The managers have created a relaxed and approachable work place and that makes it a great place to work.
Cons
The cons to working at Matalan would be that the rota can change easily from week to week, especially as a part time worker. This can make it uneasy to balance work and social life.
