Pros

You get to meet some interesting people. Work sometimes feels rewarding. Easy to get the job.

Cons

Constantly having to lie to customers on the company's behalf. Pressured to make sales while understaffed. No work-life balance. Sub-par technicians and mechanics make days stressful. High turnover rate. Employees show up when they feel like it, with no disciplinary action. Almost no support from upper management. Wages are terrible. If you are thinking about working at Mavis Discount Tire, and you can apply anywhere else, do it. This company is a waste of your time.

Pros

I’ve been with the company going on a year and yes they really care about their staff. If you work hard and prove that your an asset they notice. I’ve received 4 raises in the almost year I’ve been with Mavis. My latest promotion was a store managers position.

Cons

It’s sometimes hard to get a hold of HR or payroll it’s like the answering service doesn’t rely messages to them.

Pros

It’s a job that makes time go by

Cons

They don’t care if you have a concussion or hurt yourself, Always busy on verge of uncontrollable chaos but a step before that, regional manager wants you to move #’s and lose profit to make customers happy, store manager gets upset if you adjust profit margins to prevent bad review from bad experience, mechanics and/or tire techs can be 3rd string quality and you can get in trouble if they lose the keys after they take them, charging customers for things they didn’t get changed or done(TPMS valves and alignment machine) to prevent bad reviews but keep profits up
