Pros

Good for Paying the bills

Cons

It’s ghetto. Company bullies is a plus. Every since being on a particular managers team I’ve been bullied no matter what team I’m on. Talked about and my name dragged out of jealousy from a few people because they can’t stand to see you do good. Favoritism is showed to certain people. Everyone fakes like they are cool and will turn right around and gossip about you like a snake when they don’t even know the real reason why you sing talk to anyone. I just stay low work and go home. I’m not here to make friends. People just can’t understand that. This job is unprofessional in every way. Supervisors don’t even practice what they preach yet expect us to be perfect

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
