Pros

When I was hired I was hired in remotely. So Working Remotely was a great benefit and you get paid vacations and benefits.

Cons

You will do with poor managment from the HR department. There is a lot of high Revolving door turn over's from CSR's and supervisors. The supervisors are very unprofessional and they micromanage a lot. This job is all about Call Volume and phones, so be prepared to be in the phones all day and sometimes breaks are not given if the call volume is extremely high. The HR deparment ONLY sticks to the supervisors and the company they don't value the employees or the workers. And the Training is very Poor as its a lot of information with little guidance and your thrown out on the floor on the phones with little or an overwhelming ton of information to basically train yourself as you go with being thrown into the phones. I would NOT recommend anyone working here unless you despartely need a job right away as they are ALWAYS hiring for CSR's as they can't keep CSR's to begin with.

Pros

Had a few really exceptional coworkers

Cons

One reason I was hired was to bring in new ideas and work approaches; however, when I tried implementing anything new, some of the “old school higher-ups” would balk and were never open to anything new or better. My management just looked the other way and didn’t support me. As for training, I wasn’t offered much in the way of onboarding other than being told to read a lengthy “standard operating procedures” document. No real opportunities were offered to shadow anyone so I could learn in real-time. A typical work week was 60+ hours and often stretched to 70+. It was exhausting and demoralizing. The job was not sustainable and I’ve never been more relieved to be done with a place. I cannot recommend Maximus as a place to grow your skills or to give your time. Turnover seems to be relatively high at Maximus and there are far better places to work.
