Pros

People: Some of the people you work with are amazing and will help you grow professionally. Again, only some people. Opportunity: You will have opportunities to make a mark at Medallia. Some see inflection points as a time to leave; others choose to step up and capitalize the moment. The work is hard and thankless at times, but ultimately it's up to the individual to either make lemonade or go join other company. Value: The product really brings value to customers. I've had the privilege of working with clients who genuinely love the product and use it to make a positive impact on their customers.

Cons

People: Some of the people you work with have no idea what they're doing and can make your life absolutely miserable (intentionally or unintentionally). Learn to manage up if you end up working with an incompetent manager. Also, be prepared to navigate through asinine corporate politics. Product: It strives to be like the iPhone but at times blow up like the Galaxy Note. Extensive servicing is a bandaid to coverup the failings of product, engineering, and implementations. Professional Services: All the failings of product, engineering, and implementations ultimately trickle down to Professional Services to handle. Leadership means well and tries to help, but it's hard to bring value to clients when the tools you use are on fire constantly or explode in your face.

Pros

Nothing much to say here. Management is messed up. All tech initiatives are showcase only. There are genuinely smart people, but they are managed by worse management you can imagine.

Cons

- many bad CEOs, many bad managers. - the whole company is slow. - no one know what the company’s mission statement is. - PE firms have no idea what they are doing.
