This factor alone made the culture of the organization unique and great. The job itself was also great in that you are put in positions where you had to rise up to the challenge: representing the state and Governor's office, learning to work with various types of local governments, and exposure to working directly with top companies and C-suites. The work experience itself was good for this reason. Good benefits.

Limited career growth in terms of pay and moving up the ladder. Even though the work is not supposed to be political, the organization can be political. Like most state agencies, top leadership is replaced with new administration so you should be prepared for changes every 4-8 years.
