Pros

- Most talented people I've ever worked with - Get to work with huge brands on really cool initiatives and influencer campaigns - Flexible WFH schedule which helps work life balance SO much - Good career growth, opportunities to take on more responsibility and lead other team members - Get to work on a variety of projects and given responsibilities not normally available at other account management positions - Managers truly care about individual's personal and professional growth, providing goals and benchmarks, and steps to achieve those. - Competitive salary compared to friends in the same industry

Cons

- Fluctuations in group outings and culture development. Some months leadership puts in a lot of effort to foster team bonding, whereas other months it isn't a priority - Some teams have more bandwidth than others, so some people's to-do lists never end, whereas some people are always wrapping up at 5:30pm on the dot - The CEO isn't always around so it's hard to know what the company's trajectory is (but luckily the executive level leadership are stable presences). - Leadership overly enforces processes (like escalating a problem) even though we're a small company that works so close with one another it sometimes makes more sense talk to a different team member. I can see following protocol important in giant corporate companies, but it feels overly strict and limiting with a small team.

Pros

I get to work directly with well known brands and agencies on impactful campaigns. The campaigns we all work on have direct results and success for these brands, which is rewarding and makes my position feel valuable. The team is young and fun, but everyone's hard working and career driven, which helps me feel motivated on a daily basis to grow my role and responsibilities here and keep Mediakix at the top of it's industry. There is significant opportunity to affect processes within the company and offer company optimizations. I'm grateful for the recent improvements in company culture, including achievement recognition and additional benefits. Good opportunity to learn about the influencer marketing space, and specialize in this type of advertising. We rarely have to work late nights or weekends. There may be an email or two here and there, but overall I really like that I can leave the office at 5:30 or 6, and have time for the rest of my life outside of work. No one micro manages you. Start up lifestyle means we're not stuck in a corporate company structure or growth strategy. I'm compensated well, and have heard the same from other employees. The company is doing well so job security comes easy.

Cons

Things can get really busy and we don't always have the bandwidth to handle all the campaigns and projects. I've noticed we're hiring more to fill in the positions we need the most, and the CEO talks to us about focusing on and improving hiring to help make our lives easier, which I appreciate. Not every employee has a defined manager, which means autonomy and responsibility on the plus side, but also lack of direction on some projects on the down side. Because everyone's so busy, training can be challenging to complete thoroughly. Frequently new employees are given a good initial training, but as things get busy, they are expected to learn as they go. The right people can fill in the gaps and intuitively learn certain processes, but there are some internal procedures that require direct training that managers don't always cover fully
