Pros

Some great benefits! Flexible hours, a free gym, and a great PTO plan when you first start here. The people in general are very friendly and members on my own team are very easy to work with. They are a huge part to why I work at Medifast! Additionally, attending the Take Shape For Life events and meeting the Health Coaches gives me a powerful understanding of why I do what I do in my daily job, and it's quite gratifying.

Cons

The growth opportunity is stagnant. There is a glass ceiling unfortunately. Most people do not stay here past 5 years, if that. Sometimes I wonder if management actually wants to develop their own people and encourage them to stay. If individually you take the initiative to ask, there are opportunities to learn new skills through cross-training, but do not expect management to start the conversation about a career path here. There has also been a lot of turnover starting approximately 18 months ago from associate level positions to executives, and with it came little to no communication on the direction in which we were heading. This caused a lot of confusion and overall poor morale. This has leveled out in the last 6 months, and truthfully, the end result is encouraging. People are happier to be here and have a better grasp on their role. As with any company though, there is still room for improvement.
