      Pros

      I liked my department because of the people I worked with and for but the CEO decided to terminate almost everyone and then their workloads got carried on the remaining people which was extremely exhausting

      Cons

      CEO makes you believe that your position is safe but then Anita cuts 50% of her overhead. Even people that have been with the company for over 16 years. It's very sad. Also when you inherit more work, your salary does not go up. Also after cutting so many corners and talent and great people, she hires a CFO who earns almost 300k who is supposed to make a game plan for a mortgage company in the midddle of a mortgage nightmare. Can't imagine he's going to generate production in this environment at 300k a year.

The decision to reduce staff was made in collaboration with management, based on business volume and the ability to support positions. We carefully considered each employee’s performance and productivity before moving forward. These choices were difficult but necessary due to the industry's contraction. While some roles were impacted, we offered cross-training where possible. Over 95% of employees who have been with MegaStar for 4+ years elect to remain with the company, and we’re proud of those who have retired after 25 years of service. We regularly evaluate compensation to stay competitive. The CFO was hired for their specialized skills and experience. We thank you for your 4+ years of work and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

      Pros

      I absolutely loved working with all the peeps at MegaStar through the good times and the challenging ones. Looking back, I’m so glad I made that call to Anita 20 years ago. It truly turned into a fulfilling career and a big part of my life. Over the years I had the privilege of helping countless families achieve homeownership, and that’s something I will always be proud of. The work is meaningful, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know you played a role in helping people build their future. MegaStar also gave me the flexibility and freedom to grow my business and serve my clients in a way that worked for me. That independence made a big difference over the years and helped create a career that was both successful and balanced. I also have to say that Anita is a wonderful leader. She cares deeply about her people and about doing the right thing for clients. Her leadership and vision are a big reason MegaStar has been such a special place to work. I’m very grateful for the friendships, the opportunities, and the many families I was able to help along the way.

      The only drawback I experienced at times was a limited selection of niche loan products, particularly adjustable-rate mortgages and condo loans.
