Pros
Easy work, very flexible hours
Cons
Customers will treat you like garbage, and managers will never step in to defend you. Underscheduling is prevalent, and you will be stretched thin at all times. Customers will complain about their checkout time and wait and you just have to sit there and say sorry. Managers sit in meetings all day and the times they aren't, they are talking with other managers on the floor. You earn paid time off (because of the union, not the kindness of Meijer) but good luck trying to cash that in! You never know who is responsible for your schedule, and trying to get it changed for your schooling is a nightmare. Also, they don't HAVE to fix your schedule for school, which can make you miss classes or other familial obligations. There are places to work that can actually work with you, so try and apply their instead.
