Pros

Get to work outside a lot. Collecting carts isn't hard unless your busy or bad weather which was 9 times out of ten but there were rare easy days when store was dead. Paid 15 minute breaks and discount card. Management and fellow utility workers were nice.

Cons

Having to clean the bathrooms and disgusting messes, which you cannot refuse to do. Had to clean up bodily fluids and overflowing toliets and so on ever week. Make you do multiple jobs for little pay. They paid me minimum wage and wanted me to collect carts, empty trash, clean bathrooms and any mess, run for cashiers, help customers, load heavy items, sweep parking lot and doorways and relieve greeters, all for less then what the greeters or cashiers make. Also cashiers and service desk would often belittle me and make me feel like oh your the guy that just collects carts so why isn't my trash emptied yet and so on. Had to work out in any kind of weather. Got soaked and froze almost daily. You get used to being rained or snowed on but still sucks. Also you will get held over a lot and called in a lot. If the lot isn't clear they hold you over even if the people ahead of you left the lot a mess your getting held over till it's clear.

Pros

Direct coworkers were great to work with. I also enjoyed being left to do my work and not babysat by management.

Cons

Management doesn't know what they are doing. Resets and floor plans were regularly not done properly. The store I worked at has a skeleton crew so I never got help (but was expected to stop everything I'm going to go help other departments/areas). Also meaning good luck to any customers needing help, especially when I was the only person working my area of the store, so when I wasn't there, no one was. Management also regularly disappeared into the offices or were on vacation. Also was terminated for reasons outside my control even though I was told they look at the reasons for attendance incidents before termination. Never got to get the FMLA or accommodation to my doctors before being terminated two days after I requested them. Didn't bother asking for a raise either. I did multiple times and got nothing.
