Pros
Their products are for the vast majority very good. I am no longer employees there but is still buy several of the products. The truly care about their customers and spend considerable effort trying to make them happy.
Cons
They have failed to update their management style from the seventies. They treat all their employees, at every level, like as though they are hardly worth the paycheck they receive. Promotions mean lots more responsibility and maybe if your very lucky, more pay. They pit employees against each other causing a great deal of unnecessary stress and bad feelings throughout the corporation. When employees would leave they would not replace them for months or years causing the rest of the employees to have to work longer hours. They constantly made promises to us that they didn't keep. Many of the managers were underqualified on only promoted because they had friends in high places or there was no where else to put them. Each department is managed under such scrutiny that some of the employees would break down and cry because criticisms are so frequent that your self worth is all but demolished. The more we tried to make our department consistent with similar departments in other companies the more he would balk and push back. They refuse to pay wages comparable to industry standards causing most of the great employees because they could get more money somewhere else with a lot less stress. This left few good employees who shouldered the work until they left and then a bunch of young inexperienced people trying to do the jobs of those with ten times the experience and expertise as their predecessors. Hardly anyone has any real authority, all decisions great and small go through the CEO who is so busy that it takes months before anything can get done. In short it is a toxic work environment with leaders who, with a few exceptions, are in the wrong positions for their skill set or are just bad leaders. They won't treat or pay you well and you will be expected to work much harder than you are paid for, with little or no reward for going the extra mile.
