Pros

I only work a three day work week.

Cons

The immense pressure working on the unit is a bit much at times. Difficult patients that other floors don't want to deal with somehow gets transferred to our floor. Orders for CT/MRI are usually ordered in the morning, but somehow it gets pushed to nights and most of the time these are stat orders and nights don't have a transport team. I'm a PCT, but nurses still label me a CNA although you can't find me on the registry. Building rapport is difficult as care is often acute.

Pros

It is in a good location and employs a lot of people.

Cons

Poor business structure, focused on hiring executive and "enterprise" positions at increasibly high salaries while making cuts to front line staff. Focused more on money than patient care and frequently eliminating positions. They offer little job security and do not value long term or tenured staff.
