Pros

Stable pay and not a terrible environment. If you are a teenage male and not worried about older women groping you occasionally it is not a bad place to work.

Cons

As a younger female working at Menards the older male customers sexually harass the cashiers regularly. I had a man come up behind me, grab the back of my neck and run his hand down my back to the top of my belt. When I reported it, upper management did nothing. Store management refused to release any footage of the person who battered me until the police came in and got the footage themselves. I was terrified of going to work for months and the only advocate for my safety was my front-end manager who forced the man to go through other check-out lanes.

Pros

A few of the people are nice to work with.

Cons

A store manager who talks down to employees like they're children (and apparently gets promoted for it). A store manager who acts like employees are idiots for calling him to ask questions. Raises are pathetic. Understaffed because the store manager won't allow enough labor hours to do the job, particularly on Sundays when there's a lot of freight.
