Cons

1. Leadership operates on favoritism. • Inner circle gets fast-tracked approvals, better treatment, faster advancement • Outside the circle? Scrutinized heavily, stricter accountability, slower/blocked advancement • Same work, different outcomes based on who you know 2. Complaints treated as facts without verification. • External complaints are accepted immediately • No one asks the person being complained about for their side • Unverified complaints become part of your record • Reputation damaged by hearsay 3. Performance reviews are gossip-based. • Feedback is vague: “general feedback” • Translation: no specific examples = based on what they heard, not what they observed • High performers with bad internal PR get low ratings • Mediocre performers with good relationships get high ratings 4. Salary increments are underwhelming. • Raises don’t match market rates or performance • Even high performers get minimal increases • Cost of living goes up, salary doesn’t 5. Promotion is purely about relationships, not merit. • Advancement depends entirely on who likes you • Talented people get blocked if they’re not in the inner circle • Less capable people get promoted because they have the right connections • No transparent criteria for promotion • ‼️ Beware of certain leaders (particularly those in senior positions) who weaponize favoritism—if you’re not their favorite, you’re a target 6. Threatening employees during exit. • When people discuss why they’re leaving, they’re threatened: speak negatively and face consequences • Result: no honest feedback, no real understanding of why people leave • Company stays blind to actual problems
