Pros

Leaving was a big pro! That said, the CEO was pretty decent. The American leadership was straight down the line, which can't be said for the EU folks. It's the Netherlands, pens down at 5pm, so the work-life balance was of course good.

Cons

Racist employees in Utrecht. Most have been there too long and have little expire nce other than the "Merus way" which isn't the industry way! They don't like expats and have a big chip on their shoulders (bit like the Germans in the 1930s). Management is from last century with high levels of autistic behaviours. Utter joke! Excessive levels of nepotism, everyone is a friend of a friend, not very professional but not unexpected in this particular territory as they all blow hot air up each other. The pay is low to average. The culture is all "stars and shiny" on the surface. But it's plastic and only superficial.
