Pros
You learn a lot about the Toronto multicultural environment, also learn about regulations related with multi-familiar buildings. the technical work can be hard but is not complicated: basic plumbing, electrical, hardware, etc. The first year every day is a new experience.
Cons
You have almost no defense against the abuser tenants, they can be rude and are always right, they can do almost whatever they want. You are the weakest part of the chain and in a bad situation your job is on the stake. Since you live in the place, you have no privacy or family life: the tenants will ask for you 24/7. You'll have to struggle hard to have a life.
