Pros
Being self-employed is always nice IF you have the means to survive with a constant reliable flow of income. Metro Construction does NOT supply this.
Cons
I worked there over the summer for three-four months before I figured out the scam. They NEVER paid me for training and they never paid me for the few roofing jobs completed. They will send you out on leads at vacant houses or random addresses that the call (lead) center made up. I got in the habit of looking up all of the addresses on line FIRST. A good 15% didn't exist. Of the appointments I was sent out for, only MAYBE one in ten was actually someone contacted by the in-house call center (yup they cold call people and canvas door to door). I drove all over the city from Castle Rock to Longmont, Aurora and DIA to Morrisson, to very little success. The leads are NOT HOT leads. They have NOT been verified. They are basically giving you random leads they pull out of their butz. VERY poorly managed. Very unorganized. Very cliquish. If you want the 'real' leads, you have to sell your mom, siblings, gramma, and all your friends a roof or gutters etc FIRST...and after that you will have no more friends. It's a lose lose situation. You are a sub-contractor for Metro and that is all. They will have ZERO loyalty to you. They won't even pay me! AVOID METRO CONSTRUCTION.
