Pros
There's plenty of money to be made but at what sacrifice. Free to get as much overtime as you can handle and some (75-80hrs week minus the upto first and last hour of travel daily). Plenty of out of state work to go do when you run out in your minimum 2-6 hour radius. If your a single Male/Female workaholic (able to run a mini MetroTech from home/van) with no need to be home it's a great job. Techs you will be responsible for everything as if your a sub contractor- calling and pricing parts, availability, setting up cranes, getting permits , creating quotes , and loads of forms for the customers. Pay is competitive as long as you don't need benefits. The company is stable and not going anywhere. Optional employee paid stolen tools insurance if in VAN and provided van is in a qualified lock down setting- doors locked, puck locks on, alarm set, alarm stickers, police report, and you go buy the replacement tools first they'll reimburse a set limit but most companies don't offer it at all so I'll say it's a Limited Pro.
Cons
Benefits are non existent 2 paid holidays a year, @$275 a week out of your check for- medical that you pay first $4k before any coverage, dental, and life Insurance. Oh and you pay to insure their electronic equipment (iPad, PDA) needed to do your job. If your tools get broke on the job it's the employees responsibility/money to replace no company! The company shows no loyalty to it's loyal employees. Techs are expected to grind it out day after day with a company wide 55hr average weekly minimum with a closely monitored GPS ON YOU! tracking it and at their discretion to rounding off times. All this under REEDY INDUSTRIES umbrella. Company run by solely greed. Most techs are jr to mid tenure with basically no resources to help as their expected to cover a whole state (or 2) by one self in some areas or very large areas at the very least. There are a few really good techs don't misunderstand but a few literally. And if there isn't no work in your state you can't collect unemployment because there's work in other states a week at a time. The office is divided into unknown numbers of groups. The right never knows what the left knows nor what the field knows it's insanity trying to give and receive information.
