Pros
The organization’s intentions are genuinely rooted in purpose, and its accomplishments are admirable. However, those achievements should not come at the cost of burning out the very people who make them possible. The staff is deeply committed and mission-driven, but too often, this dedication is taken for granted. Some flexibility with hours and the org shows commitment to remote and hybrid work. Overall, pay is fairly competitive for the industry, though inconsistent internally.
Cons
Leadership changes and a shift in organizational culture over the past two years have fostered a ruthless, unhealthy and unsustainable work environment. There’s a strong emphasis on urgency, optics, and output, often at the expense of staff well-being and work-life balance. A job framework intended to promote equity was instead rolled out inconsistently, creating confusion and a sense of unfairness. Favoritism is a persistent issue, and HR lacks the capacity to meaningfully support staff concerns.
