Pros

- Good environment - Good benefits - Decent scheduling flexibility

Cons

- Long shifts (8-10 hours) - Base pay without commission is only 4.00$ an hour. -- Commission can help you earn a lot, but the sales floor is biased. People will try and swoop sales from underneath you, and if you struggle, you make only 60 to 80$ for the entire day. - Required closing recovery 1-2 hours after closing at base pay rate with no bonus. - Occasional district management inspections that require heightened maintenance - Management is great individually, but does not communicate well amongst each other. You will have to explain things individually to them after another has already asked.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and share your experience with us. We will address the communication suggestion with the store leadership and the need for more patience with new GS hires. Scheduling is based on our associate's availability and each store's needs. The sales team's compensation is reviewed regularly to ensure we are in line with each states wages. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Leslie Whitley, Regional HR.

Pros

Customer obsessed culture with a strong emphasis on expertise and service. Leadership is highly engaged, with consistent focus on coaching, accountability, and development through structured one-on-ones and daily execution rhythms. Clear expectations across sales, service, and operations create alignment on what success looks like. The organization provides exposure across multiple business functions, allowing leaders to build well rounded operational and commercial skill sets. High performance environment that rewards ownership, initiative, and results.

Cons

As a smaller, specialized retailer, organizational growth and upward mobility may take longer compared to larger big-box companies. Resources and infrastructure are still evolving in certain areas, which can require leaders to be more hands-on. High expectations and pace can create pressure during peak periods, requiring strong prioritization and resilience. Some systems and processes have a learning curve, particularly for leaders coming from larger, more standardized organizations.
