We are very sorry to hear this about your experience working at MICRO, and we appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback. As we’re sure you’re aware, the founders of MICRO were in a romantic relationship that ended at the beginning of COVID. At the end of last year, one of the founders left to pursue a career in academia. This year, we’ve brought in a new CEO, and she has over a decade of experience building and scaling nonprofit and benefit corporations. Her main goal is to ensure MICRO is a place where every member of the team can do the best work of their career.
To address your feedback directly:
All staff who are overtime eligible (not on salary) are paid overtime in accordance with New York state laws. If you have specific suggestions on how we might help salaried workers manage their workload, we would love to hear it.
While MICRO has never had more than six employees, we do recognize that retention of employees is always a key issue at growing companies, and we take it very seriously. It is important to us that every voice at MICRO is amplified and valued, and we are committed to tackling any issues raised by the team.
