Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We welcome and appreciate all feedback, not least when it highlights areas for improvement.
There’s a lot to digest here.
I must be clear about one point in particular – in the relatively rare instance of positions being made redundant at Microgaming, we’ve never sought to reopen or refill them after a few months, as asserted.
You mention our South African colleagues several times – one of 18 nationalities to make up our diverse 200-strong workforce. We hire talent from all over the world based on their ability, potential and diversity of thought and experience, and we always look to local talent pools before widening our search.
I have shared your views RE ‘1950s boys club’ and ‘arrogant management’ with our senior leadership team for wider consideration. I do this as a female senior leader who rose to the position of director in three short years at a company which has a 6:5 (male to female) gender split at senior management level and 8:7 across the business – a company which is also a founding member of the All-in Diversity Club and ensures senior leaders regularly interact directly with staff at all levels to communicate strategy, share business updates and collaborate on projects large and small.
