Pros
• The company has a solid reputation in the life sciences industry, which can look good on a resume • Access to interesting technology and tools depending on your department • Some teams are filled with smart, capable people who are passionate about their work
Cons
Unfortunately, despite the company’s strong reputation and global presence, working at MilliporeSigma can be incredibly frustrating due to poor management and a serious lack of communication. Upper management often feels completely disconnected from the day-to-day realities of the teams they oversee. Decisions are frequently made without consulting the people who are most affected, leading to unnecessary confusion, inefficiency, and frustration. There’s very little transparency from leadership, and critical updates are often delivered last-minute or not at all. Many managers seem more focused on covering themselves than supporting their teams, and the chain of command is cluttered with people who aren’t held accountable for their lack of professionalism or direction. Despite the company’s size and resources, there’s surprisingly little investment in employee development or workplace culture. Many employees feel burned out and underappreciated.
