Pros
The people are fun and easy to work with. The department is well organized, and it is easy to know what is expected of me. Most everyone pulls their weight. The quality of work is superior to other hospitals I have worked in. The level of concern for patients is definitely high. We make every effort to make sure the patient receives a superior level of care. I used to work here several years ago, and I came back because it is a good place to work.
Cons
The only major down side is the pay is somewhat low in relation to the extremely high cost of living in Asheville, but happiness in my job help makes up for most of that. I lived in a city recently that had a very low cost of living, but the working conditions were miserable, along with a toxic environment in the community. The patients didn't receive the kind of care and concern they deserved in my opinion.
