It's not about what you know, but how well you play. - Senior Associate Mission North Employee Review

Pros

If you know how to make it work for you, it's great. The benefits are good, and the pay is also good.

Cons

It's very cliquey and it's obvious. You can see who the agency superstars are that get doted on by leadership and those who don't. Additionally, they quietly and quickly weed out anyone who doesn't fit the culture, so be sure to play nice with the superstars.

Pros

I was at MN for five years and learned a lot about corporate comms! They certainly train and invest in early career employees.

Cons

Unrealistic workload, no work-life balance. Management wants you to post in a thousand little Slack boards instead of doing your work.

Pros

They pay you very well to keep you quiet.

Cons

False transparency. Superficial culture. HR is there to protect the business, not the employees. They check the boxes great for inclusivity, but it's all superficial. Every employee survey even shows that LGBTQIA+ and those with disabilities don't feel seen or heard despite having ERGs. They don't promote on quality of skills or performance, they only care about soft skills and how others see you. If you're not willing to play the game, you probably should work somewhere else. It's 100% politics after they pushed out their former partner.
