Senior management, particularly in the DVC Education portfolio, is nothing short of toxic. Staff are treated as consumables. Speaking out is career limiting. Aggressive and unprofessional leadership is not only tolerated but appears mandatory. The value of quality education is superficially recognised, but essentially only in ways that allow senior leaders (academic and professional) to ascend in their career. The effort is made for rankings and baubles, never for students.
