Pros

No rush hour traffic to the office

Cons

The President of Money Tree is cheap and pays staff below market. Don’t get fooled by free lunches on Thursday, when they offer salaries below the advertised job description. Do not walk, run away for Money Tree Software, you’ve been warned!

Pros

Working at Money Tree lets me help develop software I actually want to use, and I get to work with some really great customers and co-workers. I have all the flexibility and support to do my job the way I want, and when I ask for resources, I almost always get just what I need to do the work that needs to get done. Plus the pay is good, and the benefits excellent. People here really understand financial planning, and how to create the kind of calculations and reports advisors need to deliver very professional presentations to their clients. I'm always proud of the software Money Tree delivers, and happy I can support customers with the answers I know, or those from my very knowledgeable co-workers.

Cons

Money Tree is a good company, but has had to deal with some employees that took advantage of the relaxed and flexible work atmosphere here. Some employees who don't do their jobs make it harder on the rest of the team. When the small group of under-performing engineers were sort of pushed out, they were replaced with some more experienced folks with really good attitudes, and things are back to normal. I guess that happens in lots of companies, but its hard to watch close up. Anyway, now it looks like a couple of those ex-employees who couldn't cut the mustard have put up some ridiculous reviews. Hah! Sour grapes...
