Pros
- Leadership here is the real deal: from my Regional Director to my AVP to my to my RVP to my VP all the way to my CRO, everyone I work with on the sales side is incredible. Not only are they sales experts and trusted advisors but they're also GOOD people. - The product is genuinely amazing: we know it, our customers know it, our prospects know it, and our competitors know it. - Growth and Career Support is emphasized: there are consistently conversations around "so where do you want to take your career here?" and there aren't any limitations put on me. If I want to go down the path of an IC or I want to go down the path of Leadership, I am supported. - There are no shortages of resources: the marketing team is world class, we have BDR support to provide deep research into our accounts, we have SDR support to help with meetings / account mapping, customer testimonials, case studies, etc. - Learning and Development: this is something that was emphasized when I was interviewing and it's something that MongoDB has a great reputation for. It's just real and it doesn't go away. There is ongoing L&D and training from your ramp period and beyond. Ongoing learning is mastery is one of the highest priorities here.
Cons
- I don't have many legitimate cons but maybe some would view the following advice as a con. - Don't expect an "easy" ride here. It can be overwhelming at times and you really need to be disciplined. But what good things in life are ever any different? - Opportunities and companies of this caliber obviously want people who are eager to excel and to hustle. This is certainly not a place to come and kick your feet up. Every one earns it. Work hard play hard.
