Pros

My manager and assistant manager are nice

Cons

Typical mega corp that cares more about the bottom line than it’s employees. They haven’t kept up with wages other than a 5% raise to keep people from quitting in droves. You are expected to pick up dog crap, clean bathrooms, clean the club house, clean the apartments, show your guests tours, follow up with prospects, take calls, take walk-ins, deal with resident issues, put together applications and leases, stock folders, walk the property before you tour, and absolutely down the company cool aide. Training is all online with no reasonable accommodation for those who don’t train well online. Every member of the board is white. You get paid way to little for what you do. Morgan Properties is a cheap company that purely seeks profits. They try to say they pay well when you couldn’t afford a 1 bedroom apartment in my city with my pay. That’s not good pay. That’s starvation pay. My biggest regret is taking this job. It’s killing my mental health, I’m forced to work Saturdays alone, as well as work Christmas Eve when not a single person will call or come in. I normally attend church on Christmas Eve afternoon and Morgan I’d forcing me to not attend a religious event. Don’t worry for this horrible company. They don’t care about the residents or staff. Just that Mr Morgan and his two sons have an obscene salary while the rest of us can’t afford life. Congrats Morgan, you’re a huge part of why renting is unaffordable and employees can’t afford to live.

Pros

Wages are competitive Benefits are respectable

Cons

On-call expectations can be unreasonable and compensation for same is weak. For example, no pay for travel and no minimum call out pay. Free apartment for Service Manager is nice but, BE CAREFUL. When resigning management gave two weeks grace period on rent fees and then charged me for the two weeks after leaving the company on good terms, after giving a generous 5 weeks notice. Plan on being moved out before your last day, don't believe anything that you don't get in writing.
