Pros
Great cause, great team, great holiday allowance, bonuses, great office
Cons
Widely varied salaries for same level jobs across departments. Causing friction.
A lot of people who work there have connection to the cause, which is great but leads to very biased decisions.
No career progression.
Too many people being overworked.
Leadership team aren't always supportive of their teams.
Varied management styles mean some teams don't know what's going on as information not being cascaded down.
Some people promoted into roles, others told the charity doesn't do promotions and everyone needs to apply for higher jobs, some people told internal candidates will always get interviewed, some told they won't.
Being an open plan office you hear a lot of conversations that should be kept private, about other staff, job applicants, people with MND and bank card numbers of people calling to donate.
Some appalling bullying behaviour from some managers.
Several cases of bullying that have either been swept under the carpet or paid off.
