Pros
honestly doesn't even feel like work sometimes - you get to play with makeup all day and push sales of genuinely good products (so it's easy enough). great communication from head office and managers and your goals and targets are clearly communicated each shift. also super supportive, if you are not meeting targets you are provided with more training, support and advice rather than being belittled or told off (which is often the case in other retail jobs). can be tricky meeting sales targets sometimes since it depends on seasons etc but management is understanding. when stores are empty staff are encouraged to do artistry and practice makeup on each other so even slow days go by quickly. best company I've worked in retail by a MILE. progression within the company and as an artist is also encouraged, everyone receives a makeup qualification/training at some point and there are opportunities to work more with head office etc once you are part of pro team. pay is also on the higher end for retail (but i do wish it was a bit more). the 50% discount on estee lauder companies is amazing and you alsol get discounts on other brands like the white company.
Cons
can feel pressure sometimes to meet sales targets, especially in peak or incentive periods. can be competition among workers for sales but taking other people's sales is a big no-no so it still feels like everyone has a fair shot.
