Pros

My manager was one of the best in the industry with knowledge and customer service. Really cared for her employees. Some of the regular customers were awesome.

Cons

Owners tie the hands of their managers, They micro manage worse than a McDonald’s. They don’t care about the people making their money for them. Have to pull teeth to get a raise, owners can’t figure out what they’re doing. The parts are cheaply made and on the more expensive end. I know this because of the mass amounts of returns for defective parts I recieved in the 3 yrs I was there. Policies violate constitutional rights over and over. Owners backstab all their employees to make sure they are lining their pockets. Disgusting greedy people. Pay is the worst in the industry. This position has now gotten to the point we’re no skill is needed. More for high school kids that don’t know any better.

Pros

The hours are great compared to Autozone or O’reilly, the pay is much better compared to other auto parts retailers too. Anyone who complains about Napa Auot Parts doesn’t know what it’s like to work for their competitors. Unless you work for independent Napas I know their pay is different from corporate but I feel like this company actually cares about their employees and treats them fairly in regards to pay, and working here is much better and has a better work life balance compared to other retailers which is a plus. I can see myself making this a career and staying long term I love my job and what I do.

Cons

Tams sucks and catalog sucks, thats literally my only complaint about this company they need to upgrade the whole system and the way they do inventory and everything with regards to technology.

Pros

At the time of writing, I have worked for Napa for 9 years. I can say with a great deal of experience that the fellow employees will make your day. Easy people to work with all around. Something about the shared struggle of working for NAPA will really bring a group of folks together. Customers who come into a NAPA come for a reason. I find this to be a much different experience from other auto parts stores. Customers know what they are talking about, and that makes the job all the easier. Hours are consistent almost to a fault, but you will ceratily get at least your 40 hours.

Cons

When I first started with NAPA, they genuinely cared about their employees(gift cards on bday, anniversary lunch, anniversary gift, holiday bonuses, company-wide holiday parties). That is all gone. All management you will have personal contact with has ZERO authority to do ANYTHING. Do not expect a merit-based raise, or even a yearly raise(no raises in 2 years despite $2.3B in net profit for 2025). It seems to take an act of god to fire employees who literally do not do their job. DO NOT CLIMB THE LADDER. The higher you get in this company, the more you will regret it.
