Pros

Canteen Bonus scheme Only have to give 4 weeks notice

Cons

Where to start. Well it starts off well but soon you will find yourself busy, swamped with a never ending workload and goal posts that keep on moving. Management in customer service department are all friendly and cliquey with each other. If you want to progress here you need to be on friends terms with them otherwise you’ll be doing the same job till you leave. If a job comes up you know who’s getting it before the interviews even take place. Passive aggressive style of management where staff have no voice and can even be threatened with low scores in end of year review if they question anything. The management are so far removed from what is going on that they fail to see how miserable the staff around them are. Managers are permanently in meetings and there is very little support for staff. I have never worked anywhere where it takes so long to get things signed off. We were promised pay reviews and job grading back in 2019 and when I left in 2022 it was still ongoing with absolutely no update on where it was. As of 2023 it is still the same. Also the job is described as a customer service role but it’s not at all, it’s a very very low paid account manager role conveniently advised as customer services possibly to avoid paying the going rate.

Pros

- Clear commitment to diversity and inclusion, with significant progress over recent years and visible support from senior leadership - Collaborative and supportive culture - colleagues are approachable, knowledgeable, and willing to mentor and help each other - Strong sense of purpose, especially within technical teams who are committed to doing the right thing for customers - Good investment in training and development, with opportunities to upskill - Modern, well-equipped office spaces, with continued investment in working environments - Positive initiatives that encourage connection and collaboration (e.g. networking and team engagement activities).

Cons

- Slow decision-making due to risk-averse culture, with bureaucracy often getting in the way of progress and innovation - Inconsistent adoption of inclusive and progressive ways of working at middle management level - Limited flexibility around remote/agile working, which can feel out of step with modern expectations - Some long-standing attitudes and ways of working can make change difficult to implement - Large transformation programmes can feel inefficient and slow to deliver outcomes - At times, commercial or relationship pressures can override technical judgement.
