Incompetent HODs with zero research and academic depth. They're drawing a huge salary for doing nothing than sitting in front of the higher management the entire day. Most of the people lack common sense and treat ChatGPT as a magic potion as they are incapable of generating anything new. Employees can fabricate story to get someone out of the system in order to climb the ladder and the management supports it if they find it beneficial. The actual work starts after the working hours in private cabins.
