Pros

- Better than average benefits - Consistent schedule if you get promoted to full time. - Paid time off including vacation, sick, special leave, bereavement - As a regular part timer, after probation, you make $23. Good for only having your grade 12.

Cons

- You start as a casual and have to pass an interview and test to be promoted to regular part time then regular full time. - Casuals are expected to be ready to be called in at any time, at the last minute, but you are not guaranteed any hours in return. - Casuals only make $16, barely more than min wage. - Evening shifts (12-9pm) are mandatory - It's retail. - Depending on the store, if you're new (casual) they will leave you on cash to rot. - "Turn and burn" shifts (Get off at 9pm, back in at 7am the next day)
