Pros

The first 2 weeks is all about training no need to teach students/clients

Cons

30% of the first 3 months salary will be deducted if you resign or is fired in the first year of your employment (I.e. if you leave your job after working at NTK for 3 months, you will have a deduction of 90% of your last month salary as 30%*3) so think twice before your join in Inflexible working hours and AL, AL cannot be used in peak hours when 6-day of work is required

Thank you for expressing your concerns regarding the training allowance policy. This policy aims to build a commitment of at least one year for the welfare of the students. Besides, it was communicated to all employees prior to signing the contract to ensure transparency regarding our terms of employment. We definitely agree that it's important for everyone to carefully consider the terms before signing any contract.

Pros

- colleagues are nice and friendly - some students are nice

Cons

- you cannot decide which days to take for your annual leave. they decided it for you and you cannot switch it after all, even though they said you could - work ends at 8pm even on mid-autumn festival, Christmas eve and you have no time to celebrate with your loved ones - repetitive non-teaching duties that require you to finish them within tight deadlines. if you have to teach 24/7, you need to finish them in your spare time - no time to prepare for class and again, you need to do that when you return home after 8pm or even on holidays due to the busy teaching schedule - you do not have the time to even go to the toilet for the whole day and to drink water when your schedule is full. students do not know that classes are ended 5 minutes early - teaching hours can be manipulated and you cannot get the bonus after all - you are forced to work for extra hours with no compensation because you have to obey the company rules

Pros

Competitive Base Compensation: The pay is fair and the salary is reliable. For the hours you are physically teaching, the remuneration is good. Smart Students: Interacting with high-achieving students can be stimulating. When a lesson clicks, it's rewarding. Practical Training: You receive comprehensive instruction on the specific exam syllabuses, marking schemes, and common student pitfalls. The training gives you immediate confidence in the classroom.

Cons

Administrative work: A portion of the job involves administrative tasks, including mandatory student progress tracking and lesson materials update. Managing this alongside a packed teaching schedule, especially during exam period, requires careful time management. Limited Schedule Flexibility: Though it is not a problem for me, the core teaching hours are evenings and Saturdays to match student availability. This may not suit everyone's desired working schedule, though it does allow for free time on weekday days.
