Pros
Salaries and wages are modest. Personal relationships within departments and between certain departments are warm and friendly. The working environment is relaxed if you've developed the ability to deal with BS on a regular basis.
Cons
Raises have not been awarded throughout the past year. Employees are being asked to take 2-4 months of voluntary layoffs/QTO. Salaried office positions do not pay well and employees are expected to answer their company cell phone when not at work to meet the demands of a production environment. Communication is absolutely horrendous: management, scheduling, production, and office workers are frequently in the dark about what's going on until it happens. There is an utter lack of professionalism. Almost everything is done by "winging it"; standard operating procedures are created and codified by the first person to figure out a working strategy.
