Pros
Some great people. Above average pay.
Cons
1) inexperienced leadership: the people leading this company are all under 35 and this is their first rodeo. The immaturity seeps into everything and results in a frenetic culture vs steady leadership. Chaos is the best way to describe the culture. 2) shady sales practices: Narrativ’s product borders on being vaporware. I’ve worked at startups and know you’re always selling a few cycles ahead of current capabilities and making up for it with hard work and duct tape. But Narrativ is WAY too far out over their skis, which resulted in several situations where I felt what was happening was ethically wrong. 3) massive employee churn: the chaotic culture and constant scramble to deliver what sales promised customers Narrativ could actually do resulted in numerous resignations during my relatively short tenure. Far more than I’ve experienced at past startups. While I myself left, it would be extremely difficult to operate with such a revolving door of teammates if you were still there. Worth noting, they’ve also had several complaints related to diversity and equal treatment at the company.
