The biggest media company in East and Central Africa, it's focus is telling the African story. It's now changing from a traditional media company that made money from selling space, to one that's focused on selling content. Quality control is a big part in ensuring the story sells.
Cons
The business environment is challenging. There's huge competition from social media and citizen journalism and the audience will not readily pay for content. It will be a while before profits are made from this new model.
