Pros

They will hire anyone. Some of the work is cake, considering the pay. Sometimes you can get a lot of hours doing long trips and really make some decent money. I listed a lot of cons below, however it isn't a horrible place to work. You just have to know what you are getting into.

Cons

They will hire anyone. Pretty much everyone there is high, on or off the job. The drugs vary, but I didn't het close to anyone to find out what everyone is on. People drink on the job as well. They drink or get high while driving. The trucks are falling apart. I can't imagine even half of them are safe to drive. The owner is oblivious to what goes on, but it's more that he doesn't care, as long as the job is done. Some of the work is tough. Loading and unloading trucks. Lifting heavy equipment. Moving things through hotels and convention centers. The schedule is non-existent. You never know if you are working till the night before. You might not work for days, or even a week or more. But since you don't have a set schedule, you can't get another job. The work is seasonal, if you are not in favor with the boss, you might not work for long stretches. New employees are not really taught anything. Learn quick, or you won't survive. You might have bad travel arrangements. Super long drives for days. Trucks without AC or heat. Late nights. Early mornings. You almost always lose your weekends. Often you work 10 to 16 hours without a break to eat. Often you drive your own car for jobs, but you don't get paid for gas. You are lucky to get an EZ Pass, even luckier if it works. Expect to get cuts and bruises.

Pros

I worked as a contractor for National Technology Rentals/Avelco/National Technology Leasing for 3 years. The company name changed more times than I can remember. You get responsibility you probably aren't qualified for. So if you're a competent person you can learn and get put in situations you can grow from.

Cons

The owner does not pay on time, if at all. Checks bounce for full time employees who have been there 10 years (why they stay I'll never know) so if you're new or a contractor, expect getting paid to be its own part time job. The equipment is laughably old and bad. You are sent into jobs completely blind and without the proper gear OR working gear. The owner has a mob boss mentality who expects the world from you, but don't take anything he says at his word cause he will gaslight you and make you feel like you're taking crazy pills. You're not. The company has HR (apparently) and accounting dept (apparently) but it's really just the owner doing everything. No one else has the ability to sign off on even buying pencils.
