Pros
The campus is stunning and the amenities are pretty decent. The company is a strong supporter of being who you are (most of the time). The company honors our service men and women. The workforce is mostly composed of some truly amazing people. The pay is ok. There are a lot of corporate discounts/perks.
Cons
The benefits are awful. I appreciate that we have any benefits at all, but they need to take a look at health plans and make sure to diversify their offerings. While there is plenty of opportunity for upward mobility, you will only get if you know someone. Nationwide is big on nepotism. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard the phrase, "it's all about who you know." Their expectations of claims staff is outlandish, and the pay is only marginally better that mediocre.
