Pros

- Jobs are usually not too challenging in most departments - Colleagues will respond positively and encouragingly if you express that you want to learn. - Generally very pleasant attitudes all around and responsiveness varies

Cons

- Depending on the department as they are divided by job or country divisions, there can be a lack of effective communication and keeping on top of tasks - Once taught the basics, almost no trainings are provided thereafter unless you specifically ask but the answer may just come in the form of a google chat - Given tasks with no guidelines or guidance and a lot of winging it on the job especially when not fully trained. Job is fully remote (can be a pro or a con)

Pros

Flexible work hours and full remote option.

Cons

Lack of effective and transparent communication: Aside from flooding irrelevant emails, people use WHATSAPP (yes, personal one) for internal communication. It’s a challenge to track updated or relevant information in chat groups that are created frequently. You get many texts at random times and on weekends too as some people have fewer boundaries and less sense of work-life balance that violates yours. No growth opportunity if you aren’t favoured: It’s quite evident that self-centric senior members, who are buddy-buddy with each other, would give preferential treatment to whoever is their favourite or has familial relationships with and keep them at all costs despite their lack of contribution, qualification or competence, when very talented/devoting employees are let go. Little to no respect for (non-favourite) employees: Concerning practices within the product development would be raised by employees, but senior members would brush it off. (Ethical considerations are overlooked in the pursuit of profit quite often, is what it is.) Also, incompetence and lack of responsiveness from the HR department are baffling. You can expect little to zero support from them. Not sure if this was based on their favouritism but I had many colleagues who said experienced this. I’ve never seen anything worse in my professional career.
