      The work you are a part of is cool and the commander is a great leader, the government offers competitive benefits although salaries are not great

      Industrial, occasionally dangerous environment, situated in a very poor and small city, office jobs lack professionalism, education not as highly valued as in the private sector

      Decent pay and benefits for the area, unique work that you can't do many other places, good opportunities for travel and promotion

      Commute and parking turns 8 hour shifts into 10 hour shifts, mandatory overtime and travel for periods of several months, frequent shutdowns, very poor morale, terrible first level supervision, mediocre middle management
