Pros
Navint Bus Dev Managers were able to secure interesting projects, most longer term so you knew where you would be and what you'd be doing for 1-2 years most times - secured a lot of repeat client business. They tended to hire a mix of seasoned professionals and 'newbies' - so you can work more with strong team players.
Cons
You have no input on your next assignment, Bus Dev Managers do not like to "share resources" - so you can get stuck in a vertical and/or type of position, there was no time allowance for training.
