Pros
Opportunity to rise the ranks without a college degree! The company is growing so quickly, so opportunities are always popping up. Design, Accounting, Logistics, IT, Human Relations, Product Development, etc are all teams we have started from scratch out of necessity. We have had countless employees who graduated with a degree, thought they were getting a fun job to hold them over- then they realize we have upper-level opportunities to use their degree! So one week they are selling weed, then the next they are doing graphic design work for the company. Nectar started with the same core group that remain today. Most of the faces I see are extremely familiar, because we all watched the company grow "organically."
Cons
Sometimes the growth can be rather rapid and leave some gaps in communication, and/or less quality options for management. The team does a really good job of fostering growth at an early stage now, so that we can better vet our talent.
